Bone Grafting

Periodontal disease is the leading cause of bone loss in the oral cavity, though there are others, such as ill-fitting dentures and facial trauma. The bone grafting procedure is an excellent way to replace lost bone tissue and encourage natural bone growth. Bone grafting is a versatile and predictable procedure that fulfills a wide variety of functions.
A bone graft may be required to create a stable base for dental implant placement, halt the progression of gum disease, or make the smile appear more aesthetically pleasing.
Bone grafting is where the jawbone is built up to accommodate a dental implant or other restorative devices. Bone grafting is a standard procedure that is used frequently for dental implants and other periodontal procedures. The bone used to graft is taken from a sample from the patient.

Mercury-Free Dentistry

We offer an alternative to traditional amalgam fillings with mercury-free dentistry. Also known as composite or tooth-coloured fillings, they contain no metal or any potentially damaging material and are aesthetically pleasing.
Amalgam and other dental materials containing mercury can be harmful not only for your teeth but your overall health. Amalgam, in particular, is made of a mixture of metals, including tin, copper, silver and mercury. The mercury in amalgam is especially hazardous because it can be released throughout your body when used in dental fillings. To keep you protected from the harmful effects of mercury, our office does not use any materials or products that contain it. We instead use composite fillings to restore your teeth.
Our dentist and team can go over any questions or concerns you might have about amalgam and fillings containing mercury. We welcome you to learn more about mercury-free dentistry by calling our office and scheduling an appointment. We are committed to ensuring your safety!
